East Brunswick Flea & Tick Control
You and your family should be able to enjoy your yard without worrying about fleas or ticks. If these disease-spreading pests have driven you indoors, NJ Mosquito Patrol can help. We’ve served East Brunswick, Parlin, Edison, and surrounding areas since 2015, and we’re fully licensed, insured, and state-certified. Our technicians use high-quality products and efficient treatment methods to support pest management efforts. We’re in the business of bringing back outdoor fun, one yard at a time.
Fleas & Ticks Are More Than a Nuisance
Ticks bite humans and pets and transmit diseases in the process. Some of the most serious include Lyme disease and anaplasmosis. In severe cases, tick-borne illness can damage the kidneys and liver and lead to respiratory problems.
Fleas are a threat in their own right. They multiply rapidly, spread through living spaces, and can transmit diseases and parasites to both humans and animals, including cat-scratch disease and tapeworms. Together, fleas and ticks make a strong case for professional treatment before an infestation takes hold.
New Jersey Flea Species
The most common flea species affecting humans and pets in New Jersey are the cat flea (Ctenocephalides felis) and the dog flea (Ctenocephalides canis). Despite their names, both species bite and cause problems for humans and other mammals, not just the animals they’re named for.
Our Control Methods
We offer several forms of flea and tick control in East Brunswick, including spray treatments, tick tubes, and targeted flea treatments designed to disrupt infestations at every stage.
Spray Treatments
During each visit, our technicians spray the areas you use most and your yard’s perimeter, with extra attention given to any identified problem areas. We treat for mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks using products selected for effectiveness and with attention to the application method.
We treat on a 14-day cycle, while many competitors leave 21 to 30 days between visits. That shorter interval creates what we call overlap protection: a consistent coverage window that accounts for New Jersey’s weather patterns and helps limit activity between treatments.
Tick Tubes
Tick tubes are small, biodegradable tubes holding permethrin-treated cotton. We place them in areas where mice, the primary tick-carrying animals, are likely to travel or nest.
Mice collect the cotton for nesting material, picking up permethrin on their fur in the process. Ticks that feed on those mice are then exposed to the insecticide and die. It’s a targeted approach that disrupts the tick life cycle. Cat owners should talk with our technicians about placement before treatment begins, as permethrin can be harmful to cats.
Flea Treatments
Before applying any flea treatment, we inspect the infested area. Fleas tend to congregate in shady, moist spots. Under decks and porches are common hotspots, so knowing exactly where activity is concentrated lets us treat where it matters most. We use eco-friendly products formulated for use around families and pets and designed to disrupt flea life cycles and reduce populations. Because infestations often span both indoor spaces and outdoor yard areas, our flea control service covers both for residential and commercial clients.

Common Types of Ticks in New Jersey
Common New Jersey tick species include:
- Blacklegged tick: Often called “deer ticks,” these are mostly black, with females showing a red or orange abdomen. Blacklegged ticks carry Lyme disease and are prevalent across the northeastern, mid-Atlantic, and north-central US.
- Lone star tick: Females are brown with a distinctive white dot on their backs; males are fully brown. Lone star ticks don’t transmit Lyme disease but do transmit Southern tick-associated rash illness (STARI).
- American dog tick: Both males and females are brown with white markings. This species can transmit Rocky Mountain spotted fever and tularemia, also known as “rabbit fever.”
Why East Brunswick Residents Choose a Local Flea Control Company
